Landmark: Prints by Joe Feddersen is an exhibition of the remarkable work by internationally renowned printmaker, college art professor and Colville artist Joe Feddersen. His artwork is inspired by personal connections to traditional woven patterns from the tribal artists of the Inland Plateau Region of the Columbia Basin. These dramatic geometric elements are prominent in the phenomenal baskets and flat-twined (cornhusk) bags from the MAC's American Indian collection that will be exhibited alongside his visually stunning colligraphs, aquatints, and monoprints. Fedderson has a distinctive artistic resume and significant scholarly accomplishments. For many years Joe has been acknowledged as one of the nation's most prominent contemporary American Indian artists, evidenced by his most recent exhibition at the Smithsonian's George Gustav Heye Museum in New York City.br> The show continues through January 8, 2006.Source Link: More information
